Inventaire et etude ecologiques des zones humides de la Principaute d'Andorre (programme national 2002-2006) ; interpretation geosym-phytosociologique

With the care to be able to initiate a sustainable monitoring of the wet zones from the Principality, the Agriculture and Environment Ministry of the Andorra Government has started in 2002 a national project entitled Inventari i estudi de les molleres i patamolls d'Andorra . This project has allowed to realize an ecological inventory of the wet zones, including an important field study, the institution of a geodatabase and the statistical data analysis. The field studies during five following summers have allowed to investigate 1 731 wet zones, counting a total of 57 different habitats. The symphytosociological interpretation of these habitats and the interpretation of the wet habitat complexes in catenal phytosociology allow to propound four new geopermasigmeta. These environ-ments of great patrimonial and functional interest are the stake of many clashes of uses. It's urgent to stop their regression and their degradation by a concerted and integrated management by means of a national action plan.
