The objective of this paper is to investigate the application of wavelet transforms for the acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) problem. In particular, Daubechies' wavelets are considered for adaptive identification of the acoustic echo path. The least mean square (LMS) adaptive algorithm is employed at each scale. Simulation results provided a test of the practical usefulness of the proposed wavelet-based AEC.
