摘要

An explanation is proposed for the origin of the frequency-independent acoustic Q-factor typical of a wide class of microinhomogeneous solids. The relation of the dissipation to the microstructure of the medium is derived and the limits of the frequency band in which the acoustic Q-factor is constant are determined.
