Gel-type tongue for a physical model of the human vocal tract as an educational tool in acoustics of speech production

Recently,Arai(2001) replicated Chiba and Kajiyamz mechanical models of the human vocal tract from transparent materials and showed that hte models are useful as educational tools.Since then,we have continued to develop educational tools,because wo feel that physical moodels of the human vocal vocal tract should be widely used for education,especially in speech sciences.
