肺癌基礎研究の現況と展望

摘要

The cooperation of the basic research and the clinical research in the field of non-small cell lung cancer weaves an interesting and attractive success story. A system that preserves live cancer cells at the time of sampling will clarify the correspondence between the genetic or biochemical findings observed and their biological meanings in the cells. However, the importance of such system is not well recognized. The samples fixed by formalin or frozen cannot be subjected to the functional analysis. Techniques that preserve live cancer cells should be sought in order to accelerate the application of basic knowledge to the clinical medicine.
