An influence of the thickness and sound speed of a sediment layer on the frequency dependencies of trapped and leaky modes as well as the compressional and shear lateral waves produced by a point source were investigated within the scope of the simple model of a shallow sea as a composition of an iso-velocity water layer and a fluid sediment layer on a homogeneous elastic half-space.
