摘要

Three calcined petroleum cokes were produced from a single green coke in a rotary kiln at temperatures spanning a range typical for cokes used in aluminum production cell anodes. Bench scale anodes were fabricated and baking was carried out at several temperatures representative of the range found commercially. Electrical resistivity, consumption in an electrolytic test cell, and air oxidation rate were determined. Results are compared with those reported in other publications dealing with coke calcination and anode baking.
