Innovative Pre-Planning for International Projects

The continuing evolution of technology is one of the key factors shortening the scientific distance between nations. More companies have recognized the need to expand their products and services to other countlies for global competition. The opportunity for companies and individuals to participate in international projects is ever increasing. International projects differ from domestic projects in geography, language, customs, and politics. Planning an international project requires many special considerations not usually encountered in the home country. Due to the complexity, unknown variables, and risks associated with international projects, the planning effort required may appear overwhelming. This paper focuses on key aspects to enhance the success of international projects through pre-planning efforts.
