Halliburton, Baker Hughes Extend DOJ Review Date For Merger

Halliburton Co. (HAL) and Baker Hughes Inc. (BHI) have agreed with the U.S. De- partment of Justice (DOJ) to extend the date of the department’s review of Hal- liburton’s acquisition of Baker Hughes, Reuters reported July 10. Halliburton has also proposed to “di- vest additional businesses of the compa- nies” to get regulatory nod for the deal globally, the companies said on July 10.
