Magnum Hunter’s Marcellus Production Crosses Over To Ohio, Where The Utica Awaits

Magnum Hunter Resources (NYSE: MHR) may not have got much credit, but its recent wells production showed strong results and credence that the Ohio side of Marcellus has potential, said Gabriele Sorbara, analyst for Topeka Capital Markets. On Dec. 20, MHR updated its oily Marcellus well results in Ohio. Sorbara pronounced the play de-risked after MHR announced three Marcellus wells off the Ormet pad in Monroe County with an average 2-stream IP of 7.5 million cubic feet equivalent per day (MMcfe/d), about 48% condensate.
