Apache Breaks Away From Argentina With $852 Million Asset Sale

Apache Corp. (NYSE, Nasdaq: APA) and its subsidiaries announced Feb. 12 an agreement to sell all Argentina operations, including 1.2 million net acres in the vaunted Vaca Muerta shale, to YPF Sociedad Anonima for $800 million cash. Apache’s exit from the reputationchallenged country comes as the company eclipses asset sales of more than $7 billion in the past two quarters.
