The Internet, and in particular the World Wide Web, now offers many opportunities that were not previously accessible for both mathematics students and their teachers. In this column, I hope to highlight some of these opportunities, both old and new, drawing attention to those that look to be especially promising, useful or just plain interesting. A regular collection of annotated links to websites of that kind is accessible via my home page at. Focus will be on resources that are freely available, rather than those that require a subscription.
