Marc Welch, director of strategic accounts at GMG: We are seeing integration of business management, lifecycle management and web-to-print into prepress. They are related and require that prepress be taken out of the silo and integrated into business systems. The other change is automation. The more work that is accomplished up front, the more automation there is in the back. With digital printing, there are more orders done with less labour. However, you need to get the prep work done quickly as run lengths decrease. We're dealing with a new reality; before there were ten jobs a day, now there can be 400.
