EFIA established its Technical Helpline in 2007 to support its printer members on a 24-hour basis, with everything from maintenance questions to productivity concerns.We have taken all sorts of calls in recent months, from simple print faults that could be resolved quickly, to in-depth productivity studies, which required more expert help and a project team to be formed. You never know what the question is going to be, but on many occasions the solutions are not easily determined. That's why having the backup support of the University of Swansea to conduct scientific research or apply print theory to the reality of a press room situation, if required, can make all the difference to our members.
