Lebensbaum has chosen NatureFlex ' NVR from Innovia Films to pack its range of organic teas. NatureFlex starts life as wood from managed plantations operating on FSC (or equivalent) forestry principles and breaks down in a home compost bin (or industrial compost environment) within weeks. "NatureFlex combines both the packaging quality and functionality we are looking for that fits with our environmental consciousness," explains Lebensbaum managing director Dr Achim Mayr. Advantages for packing and converting include inherent dead fold and anti-static properties; high gloss and transparency; resistance to grease and oil; a good barrier to gases, aromas and mineral oils; and a wide heat-seal range.
