Torayfan CBS2 film is an "environment conscious", clear, high oxygen and moisture barrier BOPP film from Toray Plastics (America), for use as the inside sealant web for packaging bakery items, snacks, fruit and nut mixes, confections, dry pet food and non-food items. Toray says it can be used to create value added transparent PVdC-free laminations "that provide an excellent oxygen and moisture barrier", to help keep foods fresh, flavourful, and aromatic. Heatsealable, the new film also offers an alternative to coated OPP and PET grades, and is "the more economical choice" compared with aluminum oxide (AlOx)-coated films.
