Toray Plastics (America) has launched Toryfan MWX6, a new metallised white cavitated biaxially-oriented polypropylene film for gas-flushed consumer packaging applications. The new film is designed with a proprietary 'ultra-barrier' layer on one side, to give superior moisture and oxygen barrier functionality, while the other side features a hermetic, heatsealable layer. Converters can use it as a monoweb or a lamination, and it will run on both horizontal and vertical form fill seal machines.
