WINTER GREEN FARMisai7i-acre combined vegetable and cattle farm in the foothills of the Coastal Range of Oregon, about a half-hour west of Eugene. Their customer base is diverse, including a CSA (currently 480 shares for approximately 600 families), five farmers' markets in Eugene and Portland, direct marketing of beef quarters and halves (harvesting about twenty-five head a year), and a wholesale market to local stores and restaurants and regionally for a few field crops they grow. Farmed accordingto organic/ biodynamic practices since 1980, Winter Green Farm has grown from an original seventy-six acres to its current size, with the addition of both purchased and leased land.
