Diversity reception characteristics of base station with inclined mobile station antenna in W-CDMA system

摘要

W-CDMA system can improve the transmission quality by use of antenna and path diversity techniques. In this paper, we compare space diversity with polarization diversity in terms of reception characteristics when the mobile station is inclined to horizontal direction. Also, we propose polarization switching CDMA method between vertical and horizontal polarization antennas according to the inclination of the mobile station, and clarify the reception characteristics of proposed method.
