摘要

The paper proposes a new fading compensation scheme under fast fading environments for OFDM transmission. Conventional fading compensation scheme which estimates the propagation characteristics by using the replica generated periodically from received OFDM symbols and channel estimation (CE) symbols inserted in the head of the frame is not necessarily effective, because the fading distortion in CE symbols causes the burst decision error throughout the frame in the received OFDM symbols. In the proposed scheme, CE symbols are inserted in the head and the end of the frame and the fading compensation is carried out from the direction of the CE symbols with higher SNR in order to reduce the decision error. Computer simulation results show that the proposed scheme provides the better BER performance comparing with that of the conventional scheme under fast fading environments.
