The following is an edited version of a talk given by Mark Riegner at a workshop co-sponsored by the Biodynamic Association and hosted by the Benziger family at their Imagery Winery in Glen Ellen, California, on February 27, 2004. Such patterns are dynamic because they link forms through space and express an unfoldment of forms through time. They are active. To appreciate such patterns, we have to take time into consideration as opposed to looking at static forms.
