Growers could be getting more from their wheat crops. Yields averaging 3t/ha more than the UK national average of 7.9t/ha in CPB Twyford variety strip trials indicate what potentially could be on offer. The outstanding yields - a Nottinghamshire grower did over 16t/ha of Robigus in 2004 - are all based on following three core principles, says trials co-ordinator Lee Bennett.
