THE ever-broadening scope of integrated pest management (IPM) took center stage at the recent Fifth National IPM Symposium in St. Louis. The conference attracted more than 600 research, education, government, industry, and environmental/health advocacy professionals from 23 countries for three days of information sharing and networking on key pest management issues. Featuring the theme "Delivering On A Promise," the symposium addressed state-of-the-art strategies and technologies to solving pest problems in agricultural, recreational, natural, and community settings.
