The safety assessment of cosmetics in the EU is a complex undertaking, requiring insight in a number of EU legislative documents and knowledge on basic toxicology and the general risk assessment paradigm. Above all, it requires experience in the field. This book is subdivided in several chapters, each covering a separate aspect of cosmetic safety assessment. The following points recapture the major results obtained as well as the content of the individual sub-discussions held at the end of each experimental chapter.
