A call for increased adult-pediatric collaboration in rheumatology

On the macro level, the collaboration between pediatric and adult rheumatology is flourishing. Pediatric rheumatology is well represented at all levels of leadership and committees of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and the European League Against Rheumatology (EULAR). Pediatric presentations at the annual meetings are increasing every year and the ACR, EULAR, Arthritis Foundation and federal research organizations encourage pediatric grant submissions that are funded at a higher rate than ever before. Publication of articles on pediatric rheumatology is increasing in all rheumatology journals. This journal has an annual pediatric section and also includes pediatric articles in other sections
