摘要

A large variety of more than sixty Sm3+ doped alumino silicate glass compositions were investigated for their luminescence properties in dependence of their chemical composition. To do so, mainly metaluminous and peralkaline alumino silicate glasses with the network modifiers lithium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium, yttrium, lanthanum, zinc, and lead were prepared. For some compositions also the effect of fluoride addition, the Al2O3/SiO2 ratio and the substitution of Al2O3 for B2O3 was investigated. A constant Sm3+ doping concentration of 1 x 1020 Sm3+/cm(3) was used, which corresponds to about 0.22 mol% Sm2O3.
