Russian exporters sold ferrous scrap to Turkey in the second week of September, although buyers did not accept anysubstantial price increase. No scrap was sold to South Korea.Negotiations were successful in Rostov-on-Don. A deal for A3 scrap was closed at $314/t CFR Turkey ($284?285/tFOB), which is $1/t above last week’s nominal prices, Metal Expert hears. “Turkish mills require scrap and some ofthem are ready to pay such prices, but there are other mills that don’t accept them,” a trader notes.
