JFE Steel (Japan) and E United Group (Taiwan) to conduct feasibility study for steelworks in Vietnam

Japan's JFE Steel has signed a memorandum of understanding with Taiwan's E United Group to study the feasibility of building an integrated steelworks (3.5 mt) in Vietnam by 2016. It is expected to manufacture flats, though the detailed product range and equipment configuration will be determined during the feasibility study. According to the agreement, Japanese company will be the majority shareholder.
