HR sheet prices saw a moderate increase in Russia this month amid tight supply and suffcient activity. Insiders expect the prices to fatten in September since supply will remain tight amid maintenances, competition with importers will be weak, while demand will start gradually slackening.Russian producers raised their prices for 4-10 mm sheets to RUB 45,500-46,000/t (here and below with 20% VAT, the US dollar ones are without 20% VAT, CPT Moscow, $1 = RUB 65.2) in August versus RUB 44,500-45,000/t a month before. The US dollar prices dropped from $590-596/t to $582-588/t due to the weaker rouble.
