TMK Europe reports increased pipe sales in 2018

A European division of Russia’s pipe maker TMK reported higher shipments owing to better market fundamentals andimproved product mix. Forecasts for 2019 are optimistic.Good demand for premium products as well as improved sales mix benefitted TMK Europe’s operational results in 2018,Metal Expert learnt. Seamless pipes shipments added 10% to 200,000 t over the period. In Q4, shipments also added6% q-o-q to 52,000 t, recovering back to normal after a slowdown in Q3. “Shipments of seamless pipe increased…supported by favourable market conditions, while the sales mix improved due to the launch of the new heat treatmentfacility in early 2018,” the company said in a report.
