Alternative and complementary medicine in pulmonary conditions

Medicine is constantly changing and evolving, with new technologies and discoveries made each day. We have gone from eating roots and plants to the most advanced and complex treatments, but as it appears society is shifting back to the alternative medicine realm and searching for medical options that stray away from Western medicine. Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), is a recognized group of treatment options that can help in some situations [1, 2]. In the past few decades, organic produces and "body and mind harmony" have evolved so that a significant part of society is trying to avoid traditional medicine, fearing the chemicals and side effects; instead, they prefer natural and holistic options or at least to use them as adjuvant therapy.
