CNOOC reports strong H1 net profit on higher energy prices, gas sales

The Chinese state energy major reported an H1 net profit of 25.48B yuan ($3.71B)-up 57% on the year and the strongest H1 net profit for the company in three years. China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) said its strong H1 performance was the result of higher energy prices and an over-20% increase in gas sales. Revenue in H1 also rose on the year to 105.65B yuan ($15.38B). CNOOC added that it maintained all-in production expenses at $31.83/bbl despite higher energy prices and inflationary costs.
