Survey sees optimism afloat in the North Sea.

A Rigzone survey found that 27.12% of respondents foresee North Sea market improvements during HI 2018, while 35.59% expect progress in H2. 20.34% of those surveyed believe the market will recover after 2018, but 16.95% said improvement will never come. 50.85% of participants believed the North Sea market had exhibited improvements in 2017, while 49.15% did not. BMI Research forecasts an upcycle in 2018 for the worldwide oil industry. Additionally, the UK plans to enact a new tax program in Nov., encouraging new North Sea investments.
