Chinese teapots imported more Angolan oil in July than Russian or Saudi crude

A survey by S&P Global Platts showed independent refiners in China imported 18.8% more on the month and 89.8% more on the year at 1.84MM mt(435K b/d)of crude from Angola in July.Jincheng Petrochemical imported 132K mt(968K bbl)of 28.2° API,1.08%-sulfur Mostarda crude-the first delivery of the new grade to Shandong.The most popular Angolan crudes in July were 32.5°API,0.86%-sulfur Cabinda,27.3°API,0.45%-sulfur Mondo,and 27.6°API,0.80%-sulfur Saturno,but volumes of 23.7°API,0.48%-sulfur Dalia,Dussafu,31,3°API,0.40%-sulfur Kissanje,32.6°API,0.39%-sulfur Plutonio,and Sangos,were also imported.Russia sent 13 cargoes of 35.6°API,0.48%-sulfur East-Siberia-to-Pacific-Ocean(ESPO)Blend to six of China's independent refiners,totaling 1.3MM mt(306K b/d)-a 41.3% month-on-month reduction.Three of the ESPO cargoes were taken by Lijin Petrochemical and another three by Hualian Petrochemical.
