White House stops talks with California over CAFE standard

The US Trump administration has halted talks with the CARB over the planned rollback of corporate average fuel economy(CAFE)standards.The Trump administration said it still plans to move forward with the CAFE rollback by March 30,while California still wants to continue to follow stricter targets along with 12 other states.The rollback would freeze light-duty vehicle CAFE standards for six years and revoke the 13 states'long-held waiver to set their own tougher-than-federal CAFE limits.
