The independent US refiner is working with Accenture and AT&T to install private 5G wireless towers at its Belle Chase, LA (US) refinery. Phillips 66 (P66) will use the private 5G wireless towers to enable a network of wireless sensors to operate throughout the refinery, allowing P66 to monitor various units throughout the plant while also implementing Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions using the data captured by these wireless sensors.
