According to IIR Energy,US refiners are expected to take 679K b/d of refining capacity offline in the week ending Jan.17.This week's offline capacity is up from the 308K b/d that was idled in the week to Jan.10,which was an adjustment from previous forecasts for 263-319K b/d.Preliminary projections also see 770K b/d down during the week to Jan.24.(Please see chart in Feb.3 issue.)
