The US West Coast state aims to put an end to new sales of internal combustion engine(ICE)vehicles by 2035,requiring all new cars,passenger trucks be zero-emission vehicles(ZEVs)by 2035,according to an executive order signed by Governor Gavin Newsom on Sept.23.By 2045 the state will requite all medium-and heavy-duty vehicles to also transition to ZEVs.According to Governor Newsom,"You can still keep your internal-combustion-engine car.We're not taking anything away.We're providing an abundance of new choices and new technology,being agnostic about how we get to zero emissions but being committed to getting to zero emissions by 2035."
