As a result of the coronavirus pandemic's impact on global trade, bunker fuel sales fell 2.03% on the year and 5% on the month to 3.925MM mt (848K b/d), which was a three-year low. Average bunker loadings were at 1.206K mt (8.08K bbl)/vessel, a 61% month-on-month decrease and a 1.7% month-on-month decrease. From Jan. to May, Singapore's marine fuel sales were at 20.76MM mt, a 5% increase compared to the same period in 2019 but a 3.1% decrease from the record high of 21.43MM mt in 2018. By comparison, the sales volume in April was 10.82% higher on the year at 401.6K mt (89.7K b/d).
