Deal for Irving Oil to take over Come-by-Chance refinery collapses

North Atlantic Refining's 130K-b/d refinery in Newfoundland and Labrador,Canada is now looking for new buyer after a deal with Irving Oil to keep the plant running fell through.Meanwhile,US-based oil recycling company Origin International expressed interest in resuming fuel production at the Come-by-Chance refinery,according to a company spokesperson.At the same time,Andrew Furey,Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador,reported that US-based investment firm Silverpeak,which earlier signed an agreement to have Irving Oil to acquire NARL,is in talks to acquire the plant.Meanwhile,NARL stated that the company will continue to operate the refinery's tank farm to supply fuels throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
