Baosteel Raises Domestic Tinplate Prices by 300 CNY for Oct Shipment

According to information obtained by a source, China’s Baoshan Iron & Steel (Baosteel) seems to have notifiedon 1st its domestic prices of steel tinplates for October shipment to each customer. It is known at present including someunconfirmed information that the company is likely to have raised its prices by 300 CNY ($44). Its subsidiary MeishanIron & Steel is said to have also raised tinplate prices by 400 CNY ($59). Its another subsidiary with a batch process isreported to have raised its prices of tinplates by 450 CNY ($66).
