According to a survey by the Japan Iron & Steel Recycling Institute or JISRI, Chairman, Mr. Toru Suzuki, who isalso a Director of Suzutoku Ltd., Japan’s domestic ferrous scrap market in October did not change drastically and keptflat tone through a month. Some price of ferrous scrap for No.2 HMS at the end of month in Kanto slightly declined to Y36,000/ton to 37,000. The status of ‘North High and South Low’, which was the price of Tokyo Bay area was lower thanthat of north Kanto by Y 1,000 to 2,000, continued. The decline in Kansai area became obvious from the late in Octoberto the end of October.
