INPEX Signs HOA with Indonesian Gov. on Abadi LNG Project

Japan’s INPEX on 17th announced that it has signed a Heads of Agreement (HOA) with the Indonesian government on the Abadi LNG project. It has changed its plan to an onshore-based LNG production project from an offshorebased one in line with the government’s request and has been discussing the new plan. It concluded the onshore-based plan had enough economic merits, and is planning to submit a revised development plan and a request for an additional 27- year contract period on a natural gas field.
