Sumitomo Metal Mining ("SMM", President: Akira Nozaki) and Sumitomo Corporation ("SC", President: MasayukiHyodo) have reached an agreement with Chinese resource development company China Molybdenum Co., Ltd. ("CMOC")to develop the area adjacent to the existing orebody (E26L1) of the Northparkes Mine (New South Wales, Australia) thatthe companies jointly operate in order to extend the life of the mine, according to the 8th Jan announcement by SC.
