Cameroon FLNG Project to Expand LNG Production before This Year End

LNG production volume at FLNG “Hilli Episeyo” which is serving a Cameroon-based LNG project is expected to increase by the end of 2019. The vessel’s owner Golar LNG reported it is negotiating with charterers Perenco and SNH and the two companies may exercise their option to expand their use of the vessel’s liquefaction capacity. Hilli Episeyo is Golar’s first converted FLNG converted from an LNG tanker. The vessel has four liquefaction units with a total capacity of 2.4 million mt a year. Perenco and SNH are using just two trains with a capacity of 1.2 mtpa under a liquefaction tolling deal with Golar LNG, and the remaining two trains are unused.
