Kansai Ferrous Scrap Market Is Flat

The ferrous scrap market in the Kansai area kept flat. In response to the reduction of purchase price by Okayama Plant of Tokyo Steel from May 9, each electric steelmaker in the area implemented the price reduction by Y 500 for major items. After that, several electric steelmakers in the Osaka area reduced purchase prices independently in the 2nd week of May. But the market kept calm tone for around two weeks afterwards.
