Russian Steelmakers' 1H19 Rev., Profit Fall Due to Lower Steel Prices

Russia's six major steel mills have reported their financial performance for the first half of 2019 (1H19). Except for Mechel and Metalloinvest, the other four --- Severstal, Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), NLMK, and EVRAZ --- reported a significant profit decline, which is, according to the steel mills, attributable to lower steel sales volume and sales prices.
