On April 22, Katanga Mining Limited (Katanga) in Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) reported the production volume of copper and cobalt in the period from January to March 2020. According to the report, the production volume of cobalt was 5,296 tons in pure element equivalent, down by 14.2% from the prior period of 6,173 tons, and drastically up by 50.8% from the year-earlier period of 3,511 tons.
