‘Japan Will Seek Opportunities to Enhance Momentum of LNG Market Growth’

At the ninth LNG Producers-Consumers Conference held in Japan on 12th, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan expresses its intention to seek opportunities to give an impetus for further growth of the LNG market. LNG is considered as a valuable energy that is environmentally-friendly and the sources are in various places across the world. Japan, the world’s biggest LNG importing country considers is the best-qualified country to take a leadership as a representative of consuming countries and intends to develop an atmosphere to further accelerate usage of clean LNG, Hiroshi Kajiyama, the minister of METI, comments at a keynote speech at the beginning of the event.
