According to trade statistics of Japan released on 20th by the Ministry of Finance Japan, its export quantity of steel products in June was 2,407 thousand tons (abbreviated as t/t), down 16.3% from the same month last year for 2 years in a row, which hit a monthly record low of this year. Its export amount in yen terms was 192.2 billion yen, down 25.5% ditto. Due to the worldwide sluggish economy affected by the spread of the novel coronavirus infection, the demand of each country for steel products is decreasing, which also influenced Japan’s export of steel products. Its export decreased also from the previous month.
